A WIP series of brand & architecture explorations behind the sustainability brand: NOW
NOW is an active movement conceived under the ongoing brand’s responsibility to strive towards a zero waste future (2030). Leveraging its existing CRM customer base, the new program allows shoppers to contribute/donate back to the environment as earned points through purchases.
These were some early designs for the brand, product & film identity as well as a concept retail store titled: Zero+
Client → SK-II
Agency → Huge
Zero Plus: An urban retail oasis powered by nature. Regenerative design features use bio-mimicry and state of the art technology to harness natural energy from its surroundings, around the clock.
Adding to and improving its surroundings.
Isolated from the shopping centre environment, this store is a living embodiment of regeneration, and additive in its every function. From regenerative energy to re-invented materials, up-cycled fixtures to fully recyclable packaging, the store will revitalise its space and overlooked surroundings, ensuring that nothing reaches the end of its life. Shoppers are invited to be part of the journey to circularity, and offset their carbon footprint through in-store interactions and new modes of payment.
Power of Sun & Water:
A constant flow of regenerative energy from the sun and harvested rainfall provide light and life to the space inside.
Algae Bio-energy:
One of a kind exterior feature wall that rapidly produces photosynthetic energy during the day that can be converted into electricity.
Human powered energy:
Harnessing the power of human motion from shoppers, the flooring of the store is lined with panels that convert kinetic pressure into energy.
